Single Malt Whiskies
Straight Malt Whisky is made by double distillation in single batches as opposed to Grain Whisky
which is made by a continuous process. The normal blended whisky is composed largely of grain
whisky with a number of straight malts blended in to give the distinctive flavour. Each malt has
its own character stemming from the water, the process and the stills in use.
