Rosie Macinnes' excellent restaurant in the town rather than the
esplanade is, by itself, a good reason for getting the ferry.
Bar menu and a la carte, and a small garden for drinks or lunch on
a good day.
Pete Irvine, Scotland the Best
Chatters is a place where memories are created, where the very
best of Scottish produce is expertly prepared and served in unique
surroundings, with a superb selection of wines and a pudding trolley
that has been accurately described as an experience not to be missed!
A Taste of Scotland
EatScotlands independent assessor said
"A warm and welcoming restaurant where quality Scottish produce is incorporated throughout
the menu, with an interesting range of wine and local beers to enhance the dining experience."
Leek & Potato Soup - "Colourful and decorated with a spiders web of cream. Fresh flavours, good thick consistency."
Breast of Wild Duck marinated in Seville Orange & Soy Sauce - "Succulent duck, with minimal fat,
of velvety texture and full of flavour. Rich, sticky and with the Seville orange a subtle undertaste
to the soy. A perfectly balanced dish."
Lemon Cream Flan - "The lemon cream flan had a rich, smooth texture and crisp buttery pastry."
Rosemary MacInnes' warm, personal touch has made Chatters a deservedly popular restaurant
attracting visitors from all over Scotland and beyond. Known for its enticing menus and fine
Scottish produce, Chatters serves up an excellent and comprehensive selection of dishes chosen
from Scotland's larder. At Chatters, enjoy Scottish cooking with classic French influences and
modern flavours. Specialising in local produce and Loch Fyne shellfish.
